"Though she be but little..."

My friend and fellow CrossFitter, Lindsey (better known to us as LouBell) is moving back to Texas next week and I wanted to snap some photos of her before she left! She was totally game, of course. One thing I learned from this shoot is that shooting CrossFit is a lot easier than other portrait-style photo shoots. A CrossFitter is typically more comfortable in the gym than they are in their own home and it totally puts everyone involved at ease. The poses are rarely contrived and there is never a shortage of things to do. I am so happy I got to do these photos for Lou. If you look up the expression "Big things come in small packages", her photo is probably right next to the definition. She is mentally and physically, one of the toughest chicks I know and I am sad to see her move away again. But, Austin is way cooler. So, who can blame her?!

"Though she be but LITTLE, she is FIERCE". Really, she is. Just check out these photos and see for yourself.

"The Chronicles of Chris and Caroline"

Since I am new to the photography world, I am asking all of my friends if I can snap some photos of them. Some have been more than willing. Caroline is one of those people.

I approached my good friend Chris about doing a shoot with he and his daughter, Caroline, and he was game! Caroline was SO much fun to hang out with for a couple of hours and she had some pretty cute ideas for the photos.

To start, she wanted to have some photos taken doing one of her favorite things in the world....snuggling and reading with her dad. Annndddd we were able to make that happen.

Then, I brought some fun props and goodies for her to play with at the other location (umbrella, glitter filled mason jars). She LOVED it. Chris was a great sport as well. Most of the images are of Caroline. But, sometimes she let her dad jump in on one too!

I am very pleased with these photos. I actually LOVED so many of these that it was hard to choose which ones to post. So, beware. There are tons of them. I really like the "sunset haze" that's going on in most of these. It's like a fairy tale! No, but it really is! haha.

Until next time....
